Noah Kahan's 'The Great Divide' Dominates UK Charts: Michael Jackson's Resurgence and Foo Fighters' Success

Noah Kahan, the American singer, has achieved his second number one album in the UK. The late Michael Jackson's music has seen a resurgence in popularity following the release of his biopic, resulting in two of his albums in the top five and three more in the top 40. Kahan's latest album, "The Great Divide," has topped the charts and is also the best-selling album in independent UK record stores and on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart. His previous album, "Stick Season," reached number one in 2023 and was a significant success in 2024 and 2025.
Following Kahan in the charts is the Foo Fighters with their album "Your Favorite Toy," which has secured the second spot, marking their 14th top 10 album in the UK. Olivia Dean's "The Art Of Loving" remains at number three, while Michael Jackson's albums "Michael – Songs From The Motion Picture" and "Number Ones" complete the top five. Jackson's iconic album "Thriller" has re-entered the top 10 after 17 years, landing at number eight, and "Bad" from 1987 is back in the top 40 for the first time since 2014 at number 13. Paul Weller's live recording "Weller At The BBC (Vol 2)" has earned him his 30th solo top 40 album, reaching number 19.
On the singles chart, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's "Rein Me In" continues to hold the number one spot for the ninth non-consecutive week, swapping places with Olivia Rodrigo's "Drop Dead," which is now at number two. Justin Bieber's "Beauty And A Beat," featuring Nicki Minaj, remains at number three, while Tame Impala's "Dracula" is at number four, and Alex Warren's "Fever Dream" completes the top five.
Michael Jackson has made a significant impact on the UK singles chart with three tracks in the top 40: "Billie Jean" at 13, "Beat It" at 22, and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" at 23. Noah Kahan also has three tracks from "The Great Divide" in the top 20: "Doors" at 12, the title track at 17, and "Porch Light" at 20. The music scene is vibrant with a mix of new releases and classic hits making their mark on the charts.
