We The People: Star-Spangled Sing-Off Contest Celebrates America's 250th Birthday
Gray Media and Western Mass News have launched the Star-Spangled Sing-Off contest, inviting Americans to submit their acapella rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for a chance to win a trip to Nashville and have their performance aired on Gray Media stations nationwide. The contest is part of Gray’s “We The People” initiative, celebrating America’s upcoming 250th birthday in 2026. Western Mass News has been airing the National Anthem daily since 2019, and the contest allows contestants to showcase their talent by submitting a solo acapella performance of the National Anthem. Submissions are open until May 31, with the winner to be announced on July 2, just before the 250th birthday celebrations. The winning performance will be broadcast on Western Mass News and other Gray Media stations.
