Duchess Meghan Markle Attends First Communion in Chicago and Prepares for Prince Archie's 7th Birthday Celebration

Meghan Markle recently made a solo trip to Chicago to attend the First Communion ceremony of her close college friend's son. The Duchess of Sussex was spotted at the Holy Name Cathedral in an elegant beige turtleneck, smiling as she watched the children process down the aisle. Meghan, who is the boy's godmother, arrived early at the church and waited with other families and friends in the pews before returning home to Montecito, Calif.

Meghan attended Northwestern University in Chicago from 1999 to 2003, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater and international studies. This week, Meghan will be celebrating her son, Prince Archie's 7th birthday on May 6. Last year, she shared a never-before-seen photo of Archie on his 6th birthday, showing him watching the sun set into the ocean from a balcony. Meghan expressed her gratitude for the love and warm wishes for Archie and thanked those who celebrated with them at his party.

Meghan and Prince Harry are also parents to 4-year-old Princess Lilibet. If you're a fan of royal news, sign up for our free Royals newsletter to stay updated on the latest updates about Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, and more.
