Cannes Film Festival 2026 Competition Jury: Meet the Diverse Panel of Filmmakers, Actors, and Writers

The Cannes Film Festival has announced the members of its 2026 competition jury, a diverse group of filmmakers, actors, and writers who will be responsible for selecting the winner of this year's Palme d'Or. Leading the jury is South Korean director Park Chan-wook, known for his acclaimed films like "Old Boy" and "Decision to Leave." Joining him are Hollywood actress Demi Moore, who recently received accolades for her role in "The Substance," and Irish-Ethiopian actress Ruth Negga, known for her performance in "Loving."
The jury also includes French actor Isaach De Bankolé, a regular at Cannes with films like "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai," and Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, who won the Grand Prix at last year's festival. Directors Chloé Zhao, Diego Céspedes, and Laura Wandel bring their unique perspectives to the jury, along with Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty, known for his collaborations with Ken Loach.
The nine-member jury will choose the Palme d'Or winner from the 22 films in competition at the closing ceremony on May 23. The Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 12-23, showcasing the best of international cinema.
