Fox Cancels Comedy Series 'Going Dutch' After Two Seasons: A Look at the Network's Comedy Lineup

Fox has decided to cancel the comedy series "Going Dutch" after two seasons on the network. The show, led by Denis Leary, aired its final episode in April 2026. The cancellation news comes just before Fox's upfront presentation in New York, where they will announce their plans for the upcoming broadcast season. While some shows like "Doc," "Best Medicine," and "Memory of a Killer" have been renewed, "Going Dutch" will not be returning.

On the comedy front, Fox's only live-action comedy currently on the slate is the Joel McHale sitcom "Animal Control," which was renewed for a fifth season earlier this year. The network's Animation Domination block, featuring popular shows like "The Simpsons," "Bob's Burgers," "Family Guy," and "American Dad," will all be returning as well.

In recent years, Fox has shifted its focus away from scripted programming towards unscripted formats and game shows. They have greenlit a new dating show called "The Marriage Market" hosted by Whitney Cummings for the upcoming season. "Going Dutch" followed the story of U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, played by Leary, who is reassigned to a base in the Netherlands and must navigate a group of military misfits while trying to instill discipline and professionalism.

The series was created by Joel Church-Cooper and executive produced by Denis Leary and Jack Leary. Despite its cancellation, "Going Dutch" provided viewers with a unique and comedic take on military life and relationships.
