Help Solve the Mystery: Identify the Sailboat Owners Linked to Lynette Hooker's Disappearance

Federal investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the owners of a sailboat that may have been near Lynette Hooker's vessel the night she went missing in the Bahamas. The U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service is seeking more information about Hooker's disappearance near Aunt Pat's Bay in April 2026. The investigation focuses on locating the owner of a sailboat that was moored near the sailing vessel Soulmate in Aunt Pat's Bay on the night of Hooker's disappearance. The Coast Guard is looking for potential witnesses who may have been near Soulmate before or around the time Lynette vanished.

Lynette Hooker, 55, disappeared after reportedly falling overboard from an 8-foot dinghy during a nighttime ride in the Abacos. Her husband, Brian Hooker, stated that she fell with the boat keys, causing the engine to shut off. He paddled for hours before reaching shore. Brian Hooker was detained by Bahamian authorities but released without charges. The Coast Guard is now focusing on Aunt Pat's Bay, where the couple's sailboat had been anchored earlier on the day of Lynette's disappearance. They are asking for information about the sailboat's owner or occupants and any details related to Lynette Hooker's disappearance.

The Coast Guard is urging anyone with information about the pictured sailboat's owner or occupants, or anyone with information about Lynette Hooker's disappearance, to submit tips through the CGIS Tips app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Tips can be submitted anonymously. CGIS agents are federal law enforcement officers who investigate violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and U.S. law, working closely with the Department of Justice. Despite a month passing since Lynette Hooker went missing, no charges have been filed in connection to her disappearance.
