IShowSpeed's Caribbean Tour: Livestream Highlights with Latin Music Icons
During his livestream in Puerto Rico, IShowSpeed had the opportunity to interact with two prominent figures in Latin music. The 21-year-old streamer was joined by merengue legend Elvis Crespo, who performed his iconic 1998 hit "Suavemente." The song achieved global success and dominated the Hot Latin Songs charts for six weeks. In 2025, Crespo was honored with the Billboard Hall of Fame Award for his significant contributions to music over three decades.
Latin trap artist Eladio Carrion also made an appearance during the livestream, accompanying Speed to various locations in San Juan, La Perla, Santurce, and more. Carrion even connected Speed with Daddy Yankee via FaceTime, leading to a rendition of "Yo Voy," a hit collaboration from 2004. Daddy Yankee mentioned that he was busy shooting music videos in Florida but encouraged Speed to savor Puerto Rican cuisine like mofongo, rice and beans, and chicken.
IShowSpeed's Caribbean Tour will continue in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, following visits to Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The tour, which began on April 25, has been a whirlwind journey through the vibrant music and culture of the Caribbean islands.
