Deep Purple Announces New Album 'Splat!' and UK Tour Dates

Deep Purple is set to release their 24th studio album, Splat!, on 3 July, marking a return to their classic 1970s sound. The band collaborated with producer Bob Ezrin, known for his work with iconic rock acts like Kiss and Pink Floyd, promising a heavy sonic experience. Frontman Ian Gillan expressed excitement about the band's current direction, likening it to their early days and iconic hits like Highway Star and Smoke On The Water.
Known as pioneers of heavy metal and hard rock, Deep Purple's legacy includes anthems like Smoke On The Water, inspired by the 1971 Montreux Casino fire. The band will embark on a UK tour starting in November, with dates in cities like Glasgow, Birmingham, and London. They recently met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, a devoted fan who presented drummer Ian Paice with signed drumsticks and shared her long-standing connection to the band's music.
Deep Purple's upcoming album and tour showcase their enduring influence and continued relevance in the rock music scene. Fans can look forward to experiencing the band's classic sound and energetic performances live later this year.
