Jennifer Lopez to Receive Adelante Award at LALIFF 2022: Celebrating Latino Industry Leaders

Jennifer Lopez is set to receive the inaugural Adelante Award for Industry at the upcoming Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF). The event will also honor Paulina Chávez with the Next Gen Award for her contributions to the entertainment industry. Edward James Olmos, co-founder of LALIFF, praised Lopez for her impact on Latino representation in film and television, highlighting their past collaborations and their current work on "Office Romance" for Netflix. The awards ceremony will take place on May 27 at the TCL Chinese Theatre Imax, recognizing leaders who have made a lasting impact on the entertainment landscape.

The Opening Night Gala of LALIFF's 25th edition will feature a special presentation of "Valentina," directed by Tatti Ribeiro and starring Keyla Monterroso Mejia. Jessica Alba serves as the executive producer of the film, which showcases Ribeiro's unique storytelling style. Following the screening, there will be a brief conversation with the filmmaker and an afterparty at the Hollywood Roosevelt.
