Those in mobile homes, vehicles, or outdoors were instructed to find the nearest substantial shelter. The National Weather Service anticipated strong to severe storms continuing across the Southeast overnight, with the potential for strong tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, large hail, and flash flooding.
