Spotlight on Lilly Singh: Equity in Entertainment Award Recipient at WIE Canada Gala
Lilly Singh is set to receive the Equity in Entertainment Award at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Canada gala and summit on May 28 at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto. The award recognizes Canadians who pave the way for industry change and access for underrepresented communities. Singh, known for her work in comedy, film, and television, has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry through her indie production company Unicorn Island Productions. She has also ventured into late-night TV hosting, launched a creator network, and authored a book, showcasing her diverse talents and entrepreneurial spirit.
Singh's recent projects include the comedy film Doin’ It, where she served as a writer, producer, and lead actress. She also made her mark as a late-night TV host on NBC's A Little Late. In addition to her on-screen work, Singh founded the south Asian creator network Hypen8 and hosts the CTV quiz show Battle of the Generations. Her podcast Shameless with Lilly Singh and book How to be a Triangle further demonstrate her versatility and influence in the entertainment industry.
