Chinese-British Dual Citizens Convicted of Covert Policing for China's Spy Agency in the UK

Two individuals, Peter Wai and Bill Yuen, who hold dual Chinese and British citizenship, have been found guilty of aiding China's spy agency by engaging in covert policing activities in the UK. The pair, a former Hong Kong police officer and a UK border official, impersonated legitimate officers or intelligence agents to conduct surveillance on Hong Kong pro-democracy supporters and other individuals considered "persons of interest." The prosecution stated that they acted as "shadow" police, assisting China's spy agency in gathering information.
