Minions & Monsters: The Rise, Fall, and Redemption of Hollywood's Favorite Creatures
The latest trailer for "Minions & Monsters," the newest installment in the "Minions" spin-off series and the seventh in the "Despicable Me" franchise, has been unveiled by Universal Pictures and Illumination. Directed by Pierre Coffin, the film tells the wild tale of the Minions' rise to fame in Hollywood, their subsequent downfall, the unleashing of monsters, and their efforts to save the world from the chaos they caused. Brian Lynch co-wrote the script with Coffin, while Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan produced the movie. Originally set for a June 2027 release, the film's premiere was moved up by a year due to high anticipation. With a global box office revenue exceeding $5.6 billion, the franchise has been a massive success, with the previous film, "Minions: The Rise of Gru," grossing over $940 million worldwide and sparking the popular Gentleminions TikTok trend. "Minions & Monsters" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 1st.
