Luke Combs' 'Sleepless in a Hotel Room' Holds No. 1 Spot on Billboard's Country Airplay Chart for Fifth Week

Luke Combs continues his reign at the top of Billboard's Country Airplay chart for a fifth consecutive week with his hit song "Sleepless in a Hotel Room." The track garnered 34.5 million impressions, marking a 4% increase from May 1-7, according to Luminate. This achievement ties Combs' third-longest run at No. 1, matching his previous hits "Fast Car," "Better Together," and "Even Though I'm Leaving."

With six songs that have topped the chart for at least five weeks, Combs joins the ranks of Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith for the second-most leaders. Tim McGraw holds the record with seven No. 1 hits. Only Combs' "Beautiful Crazy" (seven weeks in 2019) and "Forever After All" (six weeks in 2021) have spent more time at the summit.

Historically, only a small percentage of songs have led the Country Airplay chart for five weeks or longer since its inception in 1990. The trend of longer chart-topping runs has seen fluctuations over the years, with the late 1990s through the mid-2000s and the 2020s witnessing a higher concentration of songs with extended reigns.

In other chart news, Corey Kent and Koe Wetzel's collaboration "Rocky Mountain Low" climbs two spots to reach No. 10 on Country Airplay, accumulating 16.6 million impressions, up 7%. This marks Kent's third entry into the top 10 and Wetzel's second. Kent previously reached the top tier with his chart-topping hit "This Heart," while Wetzel achieved the feat with "High Road," a five-week leader in 2024-25.
