Shakira and Burna Boy Collaborate on 2026 FIFA World Cup Song 'Dai Dai

The U.S. State Department is enhancing security checks for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Mignon Houston, the deputy spokesperson for the State Department, discusses the security measures. Pop icon Shakira and Afrobeats star Burna Boy are collaborating on the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song titled "Dai Dai." In a teaser video shared on social media, Shakira and dancers are seen at Maracaná Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, dancing to the upbeat tune.
"Dai Dai" marks Shakira's second official World Cup song, following her 2010 hit "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)." It is one of five songs released for the World Cup 2026 so far this year, including tracks by Jelly Roll, Carin León, Los Angeles Azules, Belinda, Daddy Yankee, Shenseea, Jessie Reyez, and Elyanna. The full version of "Dai Dai" is set to be released on May 14.
Shakira's "Dai Dai" is distinct from Coca-Cola's official anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2026, a reimagined version of Van Halen's "Jump" featuring J Balvin, Travis Barker, Amber Mark, and Steve Vai. The tournament will commence on June 11 with Mexico facing South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, culminating in the final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, near New York City.
