Phish's Gamehendge Residency at Phish Sphere: A Visual Spectacle

Phish recently completed a nine-show residency at a high-tech Las Vegas venue, Phish Sphere. During the residency, the band played Trey Anastasio's college senior thesis concept album, "The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday" (also known as Gamehendge). The setlist included songs like "The Lizards," "Tela," "Wilson," "AC/DC Bag," "Colonel Forbin's Ascent," and "Possum." The band used visual storytelling elements at Sphere to enhance the narrative of the songs, with vibrant cartoons and abstract imagery accompanying different tracks.

The visual effects at Sphere brought the narrative of Gamehendge to life, with colorful animations of lizard people, Icculus the profit, and other elements from the story. The band also used abstract imagery for songs like "AC/DC Bag," "Wilson," "Possum," and "The Sloth," creating a unique visual experience for the audience. The lighting design by Chris Kuroda added another layer of visual appeal to the performances, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere inside the Sphere.

Phish fans can relive the Gamehendge experience from Sphere through videos of the performances. The band will be returning to the stage in early July to kick off its summer tour with shows in Wisconsin and Indiana. Tickets and tour dates are available for purchase, and fans can look forward to more captivating performances from Phish in the upcoming tour.
