In 2013, Guillermo del Toro directed the blockbuster film "Pacific Rim," a thrilling tale of giant robots called Jaegers battling monstrous creatures known as Kaiju to protect Earth's coastal cities. The movie follows the pilots Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori as they team up to operate the Jaeger Gipsy Danger and prevent the apocalypse, as declared by mission leader Stacker Pentecost.
"Pacific Rim" quickly gained a devoted fan base and drew comparisons to the popular mecha anime series "Neon Genesis Evangelion." A sequel titled "Pacific Rim Uprising," directed by Steven S.
