Tragic Mother's Day Incident: Son Accused of Stabbing Mother Fatally Shot by Police in Riverhead, Long Island
A man accused of stabbing his mother on Mother's Day was shot and killed by police in Riverhead, Long Island. The incident occurred at a residence on Topping Drive just before 3 p.m. The son, who was armed, was fatally shot by authorities. The mother was transported to a local hospital, and her current condition is not known. Three Southampton Town Police officers were treated and released from the hospital.
