A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness: Billy Corgan's UK and Europe Tour

Billy Corgan is set to bring his 'A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness' live shows to the UK and Europe later this year, celebrating the iconic Smashing Pumpkins album. The shows, which were initially announced in March 2025 and began in North America, feature Corgan teaming up with a 60-piece orchestra to present a reimagined version of the band's 1995 album 'Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness'. The singer kicked off the shows in Chicago at the Lyric Opera House for seven nights, offering a fresh sonic and visual experience.
Now, Corgan has confirmed that he will be taking the show to the UK and Europe. The tour will include two shows at London's Royal Festival Hall on September 1 and 2, followed by performances in Antwerp, Paris, and Madrid later in the month. Titled 'A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness Featuring Billy Corgan', the music is a collaboration between Corgan and Grammy-nominated conductor James Lowe, featuring world-class soloists and orchestras.
The shows aim to pay tribute to the era-defining album 'Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness' while expanding the concept of opera. Highlights of the performances include a moving rendition of 'Tonight, Tonight' by the orchestra. Costumes for the shows are designed by House of Gilles by Gilles, and additional vocalists joining Corgan on stage include Ed Parks, Sydney Mancasola, Zoie Reams, Dominick Valdes Chenes, and Dean Murphy.
Pre-sale tickets for the shows will be available starting tomorrow, with general on-sale beginning later in the week. The tour dates include stops in London, Antwerp, Paris, and Madrid. In addition to the upcoming tour, Smashing Pumpkins released a 30th-anniversary deluxe reissue of 'Mellon Collie', featuring unreleased audio from their 1996 tour, a hardbound book with new liner notes, a custom tarot card set, and frameable lithographs.
Reflecting on the album's milestone, Corgan expressed excitement about the 30-year mark and hinted at a revisited version of the record in collaboration with the parent label. The frontman has also been active in the music scene, hosting podcasts with guests like Melissa Auf der Maur and Courtney Love, and performing at events like Coachella.
