Child Injured in Mini-Bike Collision with Toyota Tacoma in Independence
A young individual riding a mini-bike sustained serious injuries following a collision with a Toyota Tacoma in Independence on Monday evening. The incident occurred close to U.S. 24 Highway and Liberty Street at approximately 7:45 p.m. According to a statement from the Independence Police Department, the mini-bike and the Toyota truck crashed at the intersection, resulting in severe injuries to the rider. The child was quickly transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is assisting authorities with the investigation.
