Originally known as NOLA King, the series was reimagined as Frisco King set in Texas, with Taylor Sheridan writing all eight episodes. Samuel L. Jackson's character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., was introduced in Tulsa King Season 3 as a hitman who forms an alliance with Sylvester Stallone's character, Dwight “The General” Manfredi. The series will follow Russell as he navigates the criminal world in a new setting, similar to the successful formula of Tulsa King.
