In Memoriam: Remembering W. Mark Basset, General Authority Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
W. Mark Basset, a General Authority Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has passed away at the age of 59. The Church announced that Elder Basset died suddenly due to a traumatic brain injury while in St. George, Utah with his family. He had been serving as a General Authority Seventy since April 2016 and was the Executive Director of the Missionary Department. The Church expressed their condolences and stated that Elder Basset will be remembered for his faith and service to the Lord Jesus Christ.
