Kristofer Hivju Joins Season 2 of Where the Sun Always Shines on SkyShowtime

Kristofer Hivju, known for his role in Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of the Swedish drama Where the Sun Always Shines for its second season. The show, which has been renewed by SkyShowtime, was a hit on the European streaming service. Johan Glans and Celie Sparre are also new additions to the cast, and filming for Season 2 is currently underway.
Where the Sun Always Shines, created and directed by Felix Herngren, follows two ex-pat families trying to start anew in the Spanish sun while dealing with unresolved conflicts and complex family dynamics. The returning cast members include Per Lasson, Lisa Linnertorp, Erik “Jerka” Johansson, and Rakel Wärmländer. Season 2 picks up where the first season left off, exploring the characters' journeys further.
In the upcoming season, Kristofer Hivju portrays Anker, a Norwegian intellectual and artist who is fascinated by Roman ideals and rejects modernity. Hivju expressed his excitement about joining the cast and working with the team, promising to bring life and intrigue to the show. Where the Sun Always Shines is a co-production between FLX, SkyShowtime, and Swedish pubcaster SVT.
