NBC Unveils Exciting Fall Lineup for 2026-2027 Season

NBC has announced its fall schedule for the 2026-2027 broadcast season, featuring the new broadcast edition of “The Traitors.” The show will have non-celebrity contestants and Emmy-winning host Alan Cumming as the Faithful try to eliminate the Traitors to win the $250,000 cash prize. It will air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, leading into “Law & Order: SVU” and followed by “Law & Order” at 10 p.m.
“The Hunting Party,” which aired on Thursdays last fall after the “Law & Order” block, is still awaiting news on its third season. “Law & Order” has been renewed for a 26th season, with NBC's Lisa Katz clarifying that it was not on the bubble but part of scheduling considerations.
The “One Chicago” block will continue on Wednesday nights with “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” and “Chicago PD.” NBC will also introduce two new dramas and two new comedies, including “Line of Fire” and “St. Denis Medical” on Mondays, and “Newlyweds” on Fridays.
Two other new shows, a reboot of “The Rockford Files” and the comedy “Sunset PI,” are set for midseason premieres. NBC will also air a game show version of “Wordle” hosted by Savannah Guthrie and various unscripted series this summer.
NBC's sports coverage includes NFL “Sunday Night Football,” NBA regular season games, “Sunday Night Basketball,” NBA playoffs, “Sunday Night Baseball,” college football, WNBA games, and MLB postseason wild card playoffs. The network will also air specials celebrating its 100th anniversary and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
Additionally, NBC will broadcast two specials titled “The Americas: A Wild 250th” and “The Americas: Mother’s Day,” showcasing American wildlife and motherhood. The fall schedule includes a mix of returning and new programs, with a focus on diverse content and entertainment for viewers.
