Peacock Unveils Fall Lineup: 'Crystal Lake' and 'The Good Daughter' Premiere Dates Announced

Peacock has announced the release dates for two of its upcoming scripted series for the fall season. The prequel series "Crystal Lake," centered around the iconic character Pamela Voorhees from the "Friday the 13th" franchise, will premiere on Oct. 15. Starring Linda Cardellini as Voorhees and William Catlett in a yet undisclosed role, the show delves into Voorhees' life before the events of the original film.

Following shortly after, on Nov. 12, is the psychological thriller "The Good Daughter," a limited series based on the novel by Karin Slaughter. The series features a stellar cast including Rose Byrne, Meghann Fahy, Brendan Gleeson, and Harper Steele, as it explores the story of two sisters unraveling a violent incident from their past.

Peacock has also revealed the release windows for other anticipated shows. "The Paper," a spinoff of "The Office," is set to return for its second season in September, while the Amy Poehler comedy "Dig" is scheduled to debut in November. Additionally, the animated series "Ted: The Animated Series" is teased as "coming soon."

"The Paper" follows the staff of a struggling Midwestern newspaper and shares the same universe as "The Office," with Oscar Nuñez reprising his role as Oscar Martinez. Starring Domhnall Gleeson, Chelsea Frei, Sabrina Impacciatore, and Alex Edelman, the series promises a blend of humor and drama.

Created by Amy Poehler and Michael Schur, "Dig" follows a group of archaeologists in Greece who stumble upon a shocking discovery that leads them into a complex international conspiracy. The show is expected to offer a mix of mystery and intrigue for viewers.

These announcements were made during the NBC upfronts, where the network unveiled a range of updates on linear programming, including news about Bravo, Samantha Guthrie's show "Worlde," and coverage of the World Cup. Peacock continues to expand its lineup with a diverse range of content for audiences to enjoy.
