Peacock's Bravo Original Microdramas: Salon Confessionals and Campus Confidential

Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming platform, is set to introduce the first Bravo original unscripted microdramas this summer. The new shows, "Salon Confessionals With Madison LeCroy" and "Campus Confidential: Miami," will consist of about 60 episodes, each lasting 60-90 seconds, with a micro-cliffhanger at the end of each episode. These microdramas aim to engage current Bravo fans and attract a younger audience by offering short, immersive, and addictive content shot vertically.
Frances Berwick, chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted at NBCU, sees the microdramas as an opportunity to cater to changing viewing habits. The shows, produced by Haymaker East, maintain the humorous and engaging tone of Bravo reality shows and feature connections to the Bravo universe. "Salon Confessionals" follows Madison LeCroy as she listens to clients' unbelievable stories during salon makeovers, while "Campus Confidential" delves into the messy reality behind college life and social media scandals.
Peacock plans to launch a vertical video section on its mobile app's homescreen to promote the microdramas. The platform aims to provide a personalized experience for viewers, offering a playlist of swipeable video clips from over 5,000 hours of Bravo footage. The introduction of vertical video content aligns with Peacock's strategy to engage audiences with snackable formats and enhance customer interaction with its content.
In addition to the microdramas, Peacock announced new original content, including the true-crime documentary "The Wolves of Real Estate: The Alexander Brothers" and the third season of "Love Island Games" with Ariana Madix as the host. The platform also revealed upcoming seasons of popular shows like "Love Island USA," "Married at First Sight," and "Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together." With a diverse lineup of content, Peacock continues to expand its offerings and cater to a wide range of viewer preferences.
