Meet Gary Jones: The Toledo Mud Hens' New Manager with a Winning Track Record
The Toledo Mud Hens have announced Gary Jones as their new manager, following the recent termination of Gabe Alvarez's contract by the Detroit Tigers. Jones, who has managed 18 seasons in professional baseball, brings a wealth of experience to the team. He started his managerial career in 1990 and most recently served in various coaching roles with the Tigers. Jones has a successful track record, including leading the Edmonton Trappers to consecutive Pacific Coast League titles in 1996 and 1997, earning him Baseball America’s Minor League Manager of the Year honors in 1997. He will make his debut as the Mud Hens' manager in their upcoming game against the Omaha Storm Chasers.
