Tragic Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of 82-Year-Old Man on Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County, Virginia
An 82-year-old man tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. The incident occurred at 6:50 a.m. on Monday, May 11, at mile marker 198.6 in the southbound lanes. The driver of a 2013 Lexus RX-450, identified as Foster Lee Ware, II from Montgomery, Alabama, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the right side of the roadway, and collided with trees. Sadly, Ware was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Virginia State Police are currently investigating the crash.
