True Colours: A Showcase of Italian Cinema at Cannes 2022

True Colours, a Rome-based film company, is set to showcase five new films at Cannes, featuring works by renowned Italian directors Paolo Virzì and Sebastiano Riso. Virzì's latest documentary, Masters, delves into the lives and careers of nine top directors, including Jane Campion and Martin Scorsese. Riso's upcoming period drama, Audrey La Mer, follows the story of two survivors in occupied Rome dreaming of liberation. Another highlight is Armony, a feel-good dramedy by Dario Albertini, starring Valerio Mastandrea and Asia Argento. Additionally, True Colours presents two debut features: Deep Blue, exploring toxic masculinity, and The Craft, a story of a man defending a bullied kid in the deep south of Italy. Cannes attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of compelling films from True Colours.
