Taormina Film Festival 2022: Premiere of 'Bear Country' and Star-Studded Lineup Revealed
Italy's Taormina Film Festival is set to premiere the Australian action thriller "Bear Country," directed by Derrick Borte and starring Russell Crowe. Crowe is expected to attend the festival, which will also feature a prestigious jury panel including Holly Hunter and costume designer Miyako Bellizzi. The festival will be presided over by Jane Campion, with Helen Mirren receiving a lifetime achievement award.
"Bear Country" follows the story of Manco Kapak, a club owner whose retirement plans are disrupted by a robbery at his establishment. The film, set to screen at Taormina's ancient Greek theatre, boasts a star-studded cast including Luke Evans, Teresa Palmer, Nina Dobrev, and Aaron Paul. The festival will showcase a variety of sections, including the International Feature Film Competition and Special Events at the Ancient Theatre.
