Tragic Collision Claims Two Lives in Donegal Town: Updates and Investigation Details

A tragic collision occurred outside Donegal Town on a Saturday afternoon, resulting in the loss of two lives. The incident involved two vehicles and took place at Clar on the main Donegal-Ballybofey road around 2pm. Two men, one in his 20s and one in his 30s, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies have been transported to Letterkenny University Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Additionally, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 20s from the same vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to the hospital.
Furthermore, two occupants of the second vehicle, a man and a woman in their 40s, are currently receiving treatment at Letterkenny University Hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The road where the collision occurred remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are scheduled to conduct a technical examination of the site. Authorities are urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward and provide information.
