Tragic Incident at Royal Windsor Horse Show: Soldier from Royal Horse Artillery Passes Away

A soldier from the Royal Horse Artillery passed away after falling from a horse at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The incident occurred after a display in the evening, and despite receiving immediate medical attention, the soldier succumbed to serious injuries at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious by Thames Valley Police.
The Royal Windsor Horse Show is proceeding as scheduled, with the exclusion of The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery display. King Charles was present at the show the following day and expressed shock and sadness upon learning of the soldier's death. He plans to offer his personal condolences to the soldier's family.
Chief Superintendent Michael Loebenberg has appealed for information related to the soldier's death and assured that there are no suspicious circumstances at this stage. Collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, Defence Accident Investigation Branch, and show organizers is ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
The event director, Jo Peck, extended sympathies to the soldier's family and confirmed that the show will continue as planned, with adjustments made to the schedule. The Army announced the soldier's passing with deep regret and offered condolences to the family during this difficult time.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson conveyed the King's shock and sadness over the soldier's death and assured that the Royal Family's thoughts are with the soldier's loved ones and colleagues. The King will reach out to the family to share his personal condolences.
