The Beloit Police Department is requesting the community's assistance in locating a vehicle believed to be connected to a shots-fired incident that occurred early Sunday morning. The incident took place in the 1800 block of Spruce Street around 4:34 a.m. Evidence was found on Spruce Street between Jean Ellen Drive and Newfield Drive, prompting officers to conduct a neighborhood survey. Witnesses reported a vehicle leaving the scene heading north after gunshots were heard. Fortunately, there were no reports of property damage or injuries resulting from the gunfire. The police are actively investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
