Freddie Highmore and David Shore Reunite for New Drama Series 'I'm Not Here to Hurt You

Freddie Highmore and David Shore are teaming up once again for a new drama series titled I’m Not Here to Hurt You. The series, co-commissioned by Canadian streamer Crave and Sony Pictures Television (SPT), follows the story of a family man who turns to a life of crime after a tragic accident. Inspired by a true story, the show explores the man's descent into criminal activities driven by a misguided sense of morality.

Highmore, who also stars in the series, and Shore, the co-creators, expressed their excitement about collaborating once more. The duo previously worked together on the popular medical drama The Good Doctor. Crave's VP of Global Content, Justin Stockman, highlighted the show's international appeal and praised Highmore's talent for portraying complex characters.

Sony Pictures Television's EVP, Lauren Stein, commended Shore and Highmore for their storytelling abilities and the depth of their characters. The series, which is set to be presented at SPT's LA Screenings, promises to captivate audiences with its emotionally rich narrative. In addition to I’m Not Here to Hurt You, Highmore is also involved in another SPT project called Chocolate Wars.

The production of I’m Not Here to Hurt You involves a strong creative team, including non-writing executive producers Claire Londy and Erin Gunn. Bell Media, the owner of Crave, has assembled a dedicated team to oversee the development and production of the series. Blink49 Studios, in collaboration with Bell Media and SPT, is excited to bring this exceptional story to viewers worldwide.

With a focus on powerful storytelling and compelling characters, I’m Not Here to Hurt You is poised to make a significant impact in the television landscape. The partnership between Shore and Highmore, along with the support of Bell Media and Sony Pictures Television, ensures that the series will resonate with audiences on a global scale.
