Rhea Seehorn Joins Cast of Inspirational Film 'Running' Directed by Gavin O'Connor

Rhea Seehorn, known for her roles in Pluribus and Better Call Saul, has joined the cast of the upcoming film Running, directed by Gavin O’Connor and written by Bill Dubuque. The film, produced by Makeready and Nike Films in collaboration with Apple Studios, tells the story of a homeless high school running prodigy seeking greatness and a sense of belonging.
Running, based on an original story by O’Connor and Dubuque, follows the journey of a young homeless runner who uses his talent to escape his troubled past and find a sense of family. Seehorn will star alongside Spike Fearn and Brian Tyree Henry in the film.
Director Gavin O’Connor shared that the inspiration for the film came from the idea of exploring the life of a homeless youth who lacks love, friends, and family, finding solace only in the streets. This underdog story aims to delve into the resilience of the human spirit and the pursuit of a better life.
Seehorn, acclaimed for her role in Pluribus, a popular Apple TV series created by Vince Gilligan, has garnered critical acclaim, including Critics’ Choice and Golden Globe awards for her performance. She is also recognized for her portrayal of Kim Wexler in the AMC series Better Call Saul, earning Primetime Emmy nominations for her outstanding work.
In addition to her television roles, Seehorn has appeared in various projects such as HBO’s Veep, Hulu’s The Act, and CBS All Access’ The Twilight Zone. Her recent film credits include the psychological thriller Sender, which premiered at SXSW in March. Seehorn is represented by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
