The Million Dollar Bob Dylan 85th Birthday Bash at Skinny Dennis: A Night of Music and Celebration
Skinny Dennis is hosting a special event to celebrate Bob Dylan's 85th birthday on Sunday evening. The event, known as The Million Dollar Bob Dylan 85th Birthday Bash, will feature over 30 artists performing songs from Dylan's extensive career. Singer-songwriter-guitarist David Newbould organized the event after the success of a similar celebration for Neil Young's 80th birthday in October. Newbould's band, along with Paul Niehaus on pedal steel, will serve as the house band for the evening, with backing vocalists Lisa Oliver-Gray, Jonell Mosser, and Ginger Sands.
The lineup of artists performing at the event includes Robyn Hitchcock, Emma Swift, Tristen, Grant Lee-Phillips, Tommy Womack, Nicole Atkins, Anana Kaye, Irakli Gabriel, Kevin Gordon, Lera Lynn, Eric Slick, Mike Delevante, Scot Sax, Jon Byrd, Ziona Riley, and John Jackson, who played guitar in Dylan's band from 1991 to 1997. Admission to the event is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank. Donation bins, buckets, and merchandise sales will also benefit the charity.
