193 Celebrates Success at Cannes: Key Deals Closed for Top Titles

193, a US sales firm, has successfully closed deals for four key titles at the Cannes market. One of the highlighted films is "The Brigands Of Rattlecreek," directed by Park Chan-wook, who also serves as the Cannes Competition jury president. The movie has been acquired by Sun Distribution for select Latin American territories and Leone Film Group for Italy. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal, and Tang Wei, the western follows a sheriff and a doctor seeking revenge on bandits who exploit a thunderstorm to terrorize a small town.
Another notable title on 193's slate is Fernando Meirelles' satire "Art," featuring Ralph Fiennes, Colin Farrell, and Wagner Moura. The film has secured distribution in Latin America, Spain (Sun Distribution), and Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DCM). Additionally, Sun Distribution has acquired rights for Latin America, Spain, and South Africa for Doug Liman's AI-facilitated thriller "Bitcoin," starring Casey Affleck, which commenced production in February.
193's founder, Patrick Wachsberger, expressed his satisfaction with this year's Cannes market, noting the significance of the company's one-year anniversary since its launch at Cannes. The success of the slate and the collaboration with talented filmmakers and cast members reflect the company's growth and creative prowess over the past year.
In addition to the aforementioned titles, 193's Cannes lineup includes Laszlo Nemes' Competition entry "Moulin" and Steven Soderbergh's Special Screenings documentary "John Lennon: The Last Interview." The diverse range of films and the strong partnerships established at Cannes underscore 193's commitment to delivering compelling and impactful content to audiences worldwide.
