Teenager Sentenced to Life in Prison for Double Homicide at Columbia Mall: Emmetson Zeah Receives Life Sentence Plus 70 Years

A teenager has been sentenced to life in prison for the fatal shooting of two teenagers outside the Columbia Mall in February 2025. Emmetson Zeah, 19, received a life sentence plus an additional 70 years for the crimes he committed. He was found guilty of multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, endangerment, and firearms-related offenses. The incident occurred on February 22, 2025, when Howard County police responded to reports of gunfire in the parking lot and bus stop at the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. Two victims, 16-year-old Michael Robertson and 15-year-old Blake McCray, both from Columbia, were found with gunshot wounds and later succumbed to their injuries. Evidence such as surveillance footage, witness testimonies, court-ordered GPS monitoring, and the defendant's statement placed Zeah at the scene during the time of the crime. Authorities also discovered a firearm and other incriminating evidence at Zeah's residence, linking him to the shooting. The families of the victims were present in court for Zeah's sentencing on Friday.
