Leaked United States Men’s National Team Roster for 2026 World Cup Revealed Ahead of Official Announcement
The highly anticipated United States Men’s National Team roster for the 2026 World Cup has been reportedly leaked ahead of the official announcement. The 26-man roster includes players who were informed of their selection on Friday, giving them time to prepare for the tournament that kicks off on June 11th in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino had to make tough decisions to finalize the roster for the sendoff matches against Senegal and Germany.
The reported roster consists of three goalkeepers, ten defenders, four midfielders, six attacking midfielders/wingers, and three strikers. Notably, 13 players are set to make their World Cup debut, showcasing the team's blend of experience and fresh talent. Alejandro Zendejas secured a spot on the roster due to his recent impressive performances, while Gio Reyna's national team contributions outweighed his limited club playing time.
Despite facing injury concerns, Chris Richards was selected for the roster, with hopes that he will recover in time for the opening match against Paraguay. Two additional goalkeepers will join the team for training purposes but are not part of the final World Cup squad.
