Box Office Hits: The Mandalorian, Obsession, and More Dominate the Charts
"The Mandalorian and Grogu" is performing well at the box office, with an estimated $82 million in domestic earnings over the three-day weekend and a projected $98 million over the four-day holiday period. The film has received a positive A- CinemaScore and is also doing well internationally, with a $69 million start, bringing its worldwide debut to $167 million.
Meanwhile, Curry Barker's "Obsession" is gaining momentum, with a $21.5 million three-day haul and a $27 million four-day total in its second weekend. The film, made for under $1 million, has already earned $55 million domestically and is on track to surpass $100 million by the end of its run.
"Michael" continues to perform strongly, earning $18.5 million over the three-day weekend and $23.6 million over the four-day period, bringing its fifth weekend domestic total to $318 million.
The horror film "Passenger," produced by Walter Hamada, is making a solid debut with $8.5 million over the three-day weekend and $10.2 million over the four-day period, despite being made for $15 million.
On the other hand, Boots Riley's "I Love Boosters" is having a quieter run, earning $3.9 million over the three-day weekend and $4.6 million over the four-day period.
