LaKeith Stanfield recently shared a humorous anecdote about needing his wife's approval to star in the new political comedy-adventure film, I Love Boosters. During an appearance on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, Stanfield discussed his role as Pinky Ring Guy in the Boots Riley-directed movie. Interestingly, his wife, Kasmere Trice Stanfield, was also cast in the film as Whitney with the Laptop, opposite him in a love scene.

Stanfield humorously mentioned that not only did he have to seek his wife's permission to take on the role, but she also had to be cast in the film alongside him. After a successful reading, she was hired for the part, making it a unique experience for the couple to share the screen together.

This isn't the first time the Stanfields have worked together in the entertainment industry. Mrs. Stanfield has previously appeared in projects like Teyana Taylor's Escape Room visual album, a campaign for Kith and Giorgio Armani, and the film Die My Love. The couple, who have been married for 3 years, welcomed a child in 2023, adding to Stanfield's role as a father to two daughters from previous relationships.

I Love Boosters, which also features Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, and Taylour Paige, is currently showing in theaters. Stanfield's collaboration with his wife in the film adds a personal touch to the on-screen chemistry, making it a special experience for both the actors and the audience.
