Tragic Fatal Collision on Interstate 93 in Ashland, New Hampshire

A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 93 in Ashland, New Hampshire, early Monday morning. New Hampshire State Police were alerted to the incident on I-93 north in Ashland around 7 a.m. The crash involved an SUV that veered onto the rumble strips in the left lane, overcorrected to the right, and collided with a box truck in the right lane. The SUV driver, identified as 64-year-old Terrence McSalley from Ashland, tragically lost his life after striking a rock in the median. Despite efforts from bystanders, including an off-duty Concord firefighter who administered CPR, McSalley was pronounced dead at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth. The driver of the box truck emerged unscathed from the collision. The northbound left lane of I-93 was closed for approximately two hours as emergency crews worked to clear the area. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
