Phil Collins has declined to perform at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. He will be inducted for his solo work at the event alongside other artists like Iron Maiden, Oasis, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang Clan, Joy Division/New Order, and Sade. Collins cited the need to be "match fit" for a performance and expressed doubts about performing in the future due to health issues he faced in the past. Despite being in better health now, Collins had to undergo multiple knee surgeries and extensive physiotherapy. Peter Hook from Joy Division/New Order also ruled out a reunion performance at the ceremony, stating he would "rather die." The participation of Oasis remains uncertain, with Liam Gallagher's sarcastic comments adding to the mystery surrounding their attendance.
