Janus Films Secures North American Distribution Rights for Valeska Grisebach's Award-Winning Film "The Dreamed Adventure
Janus Films has secured the rights for the North American distribution of Valeska Grisebach's latest film, The Dreamed Adventure, which received the jury prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The film, produced by Komplizen Film and co-produced by various production companies, follows the story of Veska and Said in a small Bulgarian town on the border. As Veska gets entangled in Said's world, she discovers the hidden criminal connections in the seemingly innocent town.
The deal between Janus Films and The Match Factory was finalized, and Janus will soon announce its plans for the theatrical release of The Dreamed Adventure. This acquisition comes after Janus Films' recent agreement for Kiyoshi Kurosawa's The Samurai and the Prisoner, which was part of the Cannes Premiere program.
Valeska Grisebach, known for her acclaimed films like Be My Star and Longing, made her mark with her third feature, Western, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
