Arson Arrest: 19-Year-Old in Custody for Biwer Park Incident

A 19-year-old individual from New Berlin was taken into custody in connection with an arson incident at Biwer Park. The police were alerted by neighbors about a fire at the park early in the morning. Witnesses mentioned seeing a man carrying a gas can. Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers discovered the merry-go-round engulfed in flames. The suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident. The fire was ignited using Molotov cocktails, resulting in the destruction of the merry-go-round and minor damage to the basketball court. Despite the damage caused, authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat. The suspect is currently being held at the Waukesha County Jail, awaiting formal charges.
