Filipino Forces Event in Hollywood: Ross Butler and Timothy Granaderos Reunite at the 4th Annual Gathering
Ross Butler and Timothy Granaderos, known for their roles in "13 Reasons Why," recently reunited at the 4th annual Filipino Forces event in Hollywood. The event brought together influential Filipinos from various industries, including fashion, entertainment, and tech. Among the attendees were Brandon Finn from "Chief of War," Januel Mercado, the writer and director of Dreamworks Animation's "Forgotten Island," Kristin Villanueva from "The Pitt," and "Project Runway" winner Veejay Floresca.
During the event, Kristin Villanueva, who plays Princess on an HBO show, expressed her desire to expand her career by learning how to produce. Meanwhile, R'Bonney Gabriel, a model, fashion designer, and Miss Universe winner, announced her participation in the upcoming season of "Project Runway." She shared her excitement about joining the show after years of sewing and watching the series.
The new season of "Project Runway" is scheduled to premiere on July 6 on Hulu. Gabriel, who recently moved to Los Angeles, mentioned her plans to grow her fashion brand and learn more about expanding her business. The evening was hosted by Filipino Forces Feast and Fiesta, featuring a Filipino-forward culinary experience curated by Sampa.
The Filipino Forces host committee, including Rembrandt Flores, Raissa Gerona, Lena Salatinjants, Marisa Pizarro, and Melissa Magsaysay, organized the event. Founded by Rembrandt Flores in 2023, Filipino Forces celebrates Filipino excellence during AANHPI Heritage Month in May. The initiative aims to highlight the next generation of Filipino leaders, build meaningful connections, and provide a platform for cultural representation and pride.
