Michigan Lands Three-Star Linebacker Brayden Watson for 2027 Recruiting Class

Michigan secured a commitment from three-star linebacker Brayden Watson, marking their first linebacker addition to the 2027 recruiting class. Hailing from Buford, Georgia, Watson stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds. He chose Michigan over offers from USC, Oregon, Pitt, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and others. New linebackers coach Alex Whittingham extended the offer to Watson in January and maintained a strong interest in him throughout the recruitment process. Watson visited Michigan in April and had a positive experience, praising the coaching staff and facilities. He expressed feeling like a priority to the entire Michigan program, not just the recruiting coach. Watson's commitment makes him the 16th member of Michigan's 2027 class and he is ranked No. 787 overall on the Rivals Industry Rankings. Watch his junior year highlights to see his skills in action.
