That Texas Blood": FX's Neo-Noir Western Drama Series Based on Image Comics

FX is developing a drama series called That Texas Blood, based on the Image Comics series by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips. The show is described as a neo-noir Western following Sheriff Joe Bob Coates of Ambrose County, Texas, as he navigates a violent world after a man returns home following his brother's disappearance. Jim Mickle and E.L. Katz will write, executive produce, and direct the show, with a team of other executive producers on board.
Jim Mickle, known for his work on Netflix's Sweet Tooth and the upcoming live-action Gundam movie, is set to direct the show. E.L. Katz, an acclaimed genre writer and filmmaker, has worked on projects like Cheap Thrills and Azrael. The duo previously collaborated on the series Hap and Leonard. Anomaly Pictures' Michael Waldron and Adam Fasullo are also executive producers on the show, along with other members of the production team.
Michael Waldron, who recently renewed his overall deal with 20th Television, is involved in the production of That Texas Blood. He is known for his work on the Hulu comedy Chad Powers and as the showrunner of Loki. Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips, the creators of the original comic series, are also part of the project. The show promises to deliver a gripping blend of Western, noir, and drama elements, making it an exciting addition to FX's lineup.
