Fatal DUI Crash in Boynton Beach: Man Sentenced to Over 20 Years in State Prison

A man from Boynton Beach, Florida, has been sentenced to over 20 years in state prison for causing a fatal multi-vehicle crash while driving under the influence. Raekwon Johnson, who was 26 years old at the time of the August 2024 incident, received his sentence on May 29, 2026. The crash occurred at the intersection of Lantana Road and Congress Avenue in Lake Worth, resulting in the death of Sacha Rukin, 69, and serious injuries to another driver, Edrice Titil. Johnson fled the scene but was later apprehended and faced multiple charges related to the incident. He pleaded guilty to several offenses, including fleeing the scene of a crash involving death, DUI manslaughter, and vehicular homicide. In addition to his prison term, Johnson was ordered to serve 10 years of probation, complete community service, attend DUI school, and pay fines and restitution.
