Mathew Collins Rumored to Join 1860 Munich: Financial Challenges Loom for the Club

Mathew Collins, the son of renowned musician Phil Collins, is rumored to be making a move to German third division team 1860 Munich. According to reports from Bild, Collins is expected to undergo a training trial with the club soon, with the possibility of a permanent signing on the horizon. The 21-year-old previously played for Austria Salzburg in the Austrian second division, where he appeared in just five matches.
1860 Munich is currently facing financial challenges as they gear up for the upcoming season. The club reportedly needs €2.7 million ($3.15 million) by July 3 to secure a new license for the third tier. Failure to meet this financial requirement could result in the former Bundesliga team being relegated to the fourth division. Phil Collins, a music icon known for his work with Genesis and a successful solo career, has garnered numerous accolades throughout his career, including an Oscar, multiple Grammy Awards, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
